Scientific Principles for EFW and Biomass Operators

The aim of this training program is to provide operations and other technical personnel with the necessary scientific knowledge to support their plant knowledge by introducing a variety of useful subjects relevant to the operation of Energy from Waste and Biomass Power Plants that produce electricity, heat, or a combination of the two.

The aim of this training program is to provide operations and other technical personnel with an understanding of the design, construction and operational principles of Energy from Waste and Biomass Power Plants that produce electricity, heat, or a combination of the two.

Application of Operating Principles to EFW and Biomass Plants

The aim of this training program is to assist operations and other technical personnel in applying the knowledge learnt during the previous course to their own site.  The course encourages learners to conduct in depth investigations and analysis of specific systems on their plant.

Water Chemistry for EFW & Biomass Plants

This course is aimed at operations personnel of Waste and Biomass fired power generation facilities.  The course is designed to provide these personnel with an awareness of the importance of water chemistry and an understanding of the issues and consequences of ineffective control. Personnel will also gain an understanding of water treatment plant and their operation.
